Bruce Phillips is Colonial Life’s Broker Sales Representative for the Georgia Territory, a new position created by Colonial, which has created 25 of these new positions in the country in 2012. He is focused on communicating Colonial’s value proposition to the broker marketplace.

Prior to joining Colonial, Bruce was the Market Vice President for Aflac Broker Sales, responsible for all health and welfare broker and consultant relationships in the State of Florida. During his tenure as Aflac’s Market Vice President for Florida, he developed the largest single opportunity in the U.S. for Aflac in 2011, estimated at over $50 million in premium.  

Prior to his role as an Aflac corporate officer in the Broker Sales Division, he was a consultant in the worksite benefits field, working with insurance carriers, brokers, enrollment firms, and enrollment technologies. He is recognized in the industry as an expert in the design and successful implementation of best in class worksite benefit programs including enrollment strategies and enrollment technologies for the employee benefits broker and consulting community.

Bruce is a long time Atlanta resident. His wife Christa is an HR Director in the Atlanta area, which gives him a unique perspective on the benefits business. He has 2 daughters, one of whom recently added twin granddaughters to the family.
