Tiffany Downs focuses her practice on employee benefits. She advises and assists employers with the design, drafting and administration of welfare and retirement plans and corrections programs of the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor. She also advises and defends third-party administrators, ERISA plan sponsors, life, health and disability insurers, and managed care entities in federal and state courts, administrative agencies and in arbitration. Tiffany has advised and defended claims under ERISA, including welfare and pension benefits claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims, claims for discrimination, class actions and multi-district litigation. 

Tiffany has published articles on life, health, disability and managed care issues. She is a frequent speaker on employee benefits compliance issues under COBRA, HIPAA and ERISA, including fiduciary obligations.  For two years, Tiffany clerked for the United States Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges. In law school, Tiffany served as Articles Editor for the Loyola Law Review and as a teaching assistant.

• Obtained dismissal of Supreme Court writ of certiorari petition in a ERISA breach of fiduciary duty claim for one million dollars
