Mr. Jacobson spent more than 29 years in the employee benefits and insurance industry. In 1999, Mr. Jacobson co-founded and served as managing partner for the Meridian Companies, an employee benefit wholesale distribution and single-source administration company.
Founded in 2009 and celebrating its 11th anniversary 1.800MD is one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing telehealth companies dedicated to delivering quality, affordable and convenient health care services to clients using the latest telecommunication technologies.

Dr. Philip Solomon has nearly 30 years of medical practice. Dr. Solomon is a board-certified physician and has successfully operated several clinical offices throughout Charlotte, NC. Dr. Solomon trained at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital between 1988-1992. Prior to doing his residency in the Ob Gyn department at TJUH he attended medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa between 1984-1988. In addition, he went to college at Emory University in Atlanta graduating in 1984 with a BS in Biology.
In 2014, Dr. Solomon began his role of Medical Director of 1.800MD. Since that time, he has helped hire and assimilate providers across the country as telemedicine doctors. He has also helped create clinical algorithms and has overseen quality and peer review for 1800 MD. Solomon believes that virtual medicine, when applied within a certain scope, has an important role to play in the healthcare delivery model as we continue to focus on cost and availability for everyone seeking care.
